Details about this media trip

Blatten-Belalp

The majestic grandeur of the Great Aletsch Glacier and the ancient customs and traditions that live on in the Blatten-Belalp region give a magical touch to this enchanting spot. The ski area offers 60 kilometres of pistes and a superb view of the Great Aletsch Glacier, listed as UNESCO World Natural Heritage. Our tip: take the chairlift up to “Hohbiel” and onwards to “Hohstock”.

Here at 10,209 ft above sea level, the panorama – featuring the Matterhorn, Dom, Weisshorn and 17 other Alpine giants – is nothing short of spectacular. When you get to Belalp, you will certainly be spoilt for choice – which restaurant with its sun terrace will you pick? We can guarantee a friendly and welcoming atmosphere as well as a unique après-ski ambiance amid the majestic peaks of Valais.

Crans-Montana

Crans-Montana’s ski area extends from the resort on its high, sunny plateau up to the Plaine-Morte Glacier at 3,000 m, and offers everything for winter sports fans of all ages. Experienced skiers will find challenging pistes and will love schussing down the 12-kilometre Piste Nationale to the foot of the ski area. But there is much more to Crans-Montana than skiing! This resort is known for its concentration of gourmet and festive hotspots, from mountain huts to Michelinstarred restaurants. Quality local produce, numerous foodie events and top-class producers and chefs who are passionate about their work reflect the wealth of gastronomy in our region. It is also a great joy for Crans-Montana to include two Michelin-starred establishments amongst its many restaurants: Franck Reynaud’s L’Hostellerie du Pas de l’Ours and Pierre Crepaud’s LeMontBlanc. Through their remarkable talent, these two French chefs, who have settled in Valais, sensitively interpret every flavour in our local produce. Although their creations retain a hint of the south, they should naturally be savoured with a fine Valais wine. And if you’re missing raclette or other Valais specialities, there are plenty of mountain huts and restaurants which will be delighted to welcome you for a traditional mountain dish.
