Thanks to the TV show "Landfrauenküche" traditions are undergoing a revival. Indeed, local products and regional cuisine are back and very trendy. Nowadays, visitors are looking for simplicity and authenticity, but first and foremost they wish to have a direct relation with local producers.
In that respect, Véronique Zen Ruffinen and her husband Yves invite you to join their Tavolata in the heart of the Turriljigut's vineyards in Susten. Together with her husband, the house lady cooks and serves season platters directly at their house. Whether one prefers to eat in the dining room, the garden or the wine cellar, the guest is always right.
Savour homemade dishes cooked with local products from their crops or the region's. Their secret? Family recipes, new ones or some handed down from generation to generation. Last but not least, the Tavolata is further provisioned with homemade Valais wine from the family's vineyard.
