Région Dents du Midi – Portes du Soleil

The Région Dents du Midi encompasses 6 charming villages perched high in the Swiss Alps near the south-eastern end of Lake Geneva. Nestled in the spectacular Val d’Illiez, these villages are part of Les Portes du Soleil, the world’s largest international ski area.

No matter the season, this is a place of exhilarating peaks and inspiring views, where the border between Switzerland and France has all but disappeared and your backyard stretches as far as the eye can see.

In a land with no boundaries the possibilities are infinite; activities, events, sports, restaurants, thermal baths and wellness centres, a national ice sports centre… At the risk of sounding cliché, there really IS something for everyone in the Région Dents du Midi!

Portes du Soleil ski area
From the moment the first frosting of snow dusts the peaks of the Dents du Midi, a thrill of excitement shivers through the region. It’s not hard to understand our collective obsession with winter sports; with 600 km of slopes over 12 resorts, the Portes du Soleil is a very big deal.

Thermes Parc of Val-d’Illiez
Welling up from deep under the Dents du Midi, the Thermes Parc hot baths are an irresistible temptation to immerse yourself in pure pleasure. Float in the thermal river, soak up the views in the outdoor pool and treat yourself to a massage.

The iconic Superpark, set right in the heart of Les Crosets and accessible in mere minutes with one of the fastest ski lifts in Switzerland, is the area’s designated stomping-grounds for freestyle skiers and snowboarders.

Morgins Touring Tracks
Morgins’ Touring Tracks are the region’s only official training ground for ski touring. Open to all skier levels, with three blue tracks, three red tracks and one challenging black track, this is a unique way to ‘earn your turns’ in a safe environment.
