Mulled Wine

Preparation
- Pour the red wine into a pan. Rinse the oranges in warm water. Squeeze one of the oranges and add the juice to the red wine. Slice the second orange and add it to the red wine.
- Peel the apple, remove the seeds and slice it. Add it to the red wine.
- Scrape the seeds from the vanilla pod and add them to the red wine along with the cinnamon stick.
- Put the remaining spices (cloves, star anise, cardamom, chilli seeds) in a sieve and place it in the red wine. Leave everything in the cold red wine for an hour.
- Slowly heat the mixture without boiling it. Leave it on a low heat for around 30 minutes.
- Remove the fruit and spices. Add the sugar and heat again (don’t cook it!)
