Anenhütte – Lötschental

The concept of the Anenhütte, in the Lötschental valley, was developed by the engineer Peter Tscherrig. His philosophy is to respect the environment while taking account of modern expectations and needs. Located at an altitude of 2,358 m, the refuge is self-sufficient in drinking water and electricity.

Cabane Rambert – Ovronnaz

Rebuilt in 1952 at the foot of the Grand Muveran at an altitude of 2,580 m, the Cabane Rambert was completely renovated in 2015. Enlarged and modernised, it offers hikers a comfortable and extremely convivial welcome. The guardians await your visit !

Monte Rosa – Zermatt

With its strange shape and aluminium cladding, the Monte Rosa refuge is certainly one of the most original in the Valais Alps. Thanks to its south-facing façade covered with photovoltaic panels and other features installed by the federal technology institute ETH Zurich, the venue covers more than 90% of its energy requirements.

Britannia Hut – Saas-Fee

Built in 1912 between the Chessjen and Hohlaub glaciers, the Britannia Hut is a monument to British-Swiss friendship. To thank the Swiss for welcoming them in their mountains, the Association of British Members of the Swiss Alpine Club had the refuge built with the requirement that a washroom with running water be installed – a modern innovation for the period !

Cabane de Tracuit – Zinal

Key stopover for the climb of the highly popular Bishorn, dubbed “The Ladies’ 4,000„, the Cabane de Tracuit refuge is always busy. In 2013 it was completely renovated ; the environmentally friendly refuge now offers 116 dormitory beds along with modern comforts.

FXB-Panossière – Verbier

Located at an altitude of 2,641 m in the heart of the Combins massif, the Cabane FXB Panossière is named after the famous helicopter pilot and founder of Air-Glaciers, François-Xavier Bagnoud. The refuge offers a panoramic stop on magnificent hikes such as the Tour des Combins, the Tour du Val de Bagnes and the Chemin des cols alpins.

Cabane des Aiguilles Rouges – Arolla

Perched at an altitude of 2,810 m, the 70-bed Cabane des Aiguilles Rouges was built in 1948 and completely renovated in 2019. It is within easy reach of hikers from Arolla who can enjoy a meal facing a magnificent panorama.

Lämmerenhütte – Leukerbad

Situated above the Gemmi Pass, the Lämmerenhütte has a splendid view of the surrounding peaks, including the Balmhorn, Daubenhorn and Bietschhorn. It is a starting point for hikes to Leukerbad, Kandersteg and Adelboden in both summer and winter. Numerous ibex and marmots live near the hut or the access road.

Binntalhütte – Goms

The path that leads through wild and dramatic landscapes to the Binntal refuge is none other than the ancient mule trail linking the Binn valley with the Val d’Ossola in Italy. The view from the hut of the Bietschhorn and Nesthorn is magnificent. The climb is well worth the effort !

Cabane d’Orny – Champex-Lac

This mountain hut is located in an idyllic landscape at 2,831 m above sea level, between two small lakes and in front of the eponymous glacier. It is open year-round, but only staffed during the summer.
