This scheme was launched to support the summer and autumn seasons with the aim of kickstarting the economy in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Can I use my vouchers at the hotel that issued them to me?
The aim is to promote the “liquidity” of the vouchers and their circulation within nearby businesses. They are therefore not intended to be cashed by the issuer of the voucher. However, the hotel can cash the vouchers for ancillary services that are not included in the costs of the overnight stay (such as massages, wellness activities and food and drinks at the bar or restaurant), provided it has opted for a “business” account. In this case, a maximum of CHF 40 (out of CHF 100) of the voucher can be cashed by the hotel to pay for ancillary services within the establishment.

A business will not accept my vouchers because it does not want to take part in the special offer
Participation in the special “CHF 100 voucher” offer is voluntary. The Canton of Valais cannot obligate businesses to take part in this special offer. It is also up to the individual businesses to decide on how they wish to cash the vouchers. Some businesses will only accept the vouchers in paper form for technical reasons (in particular large-scale distributors). However, once businesses have registered on the platform, they are obliged to accept the vouchers pursuant to the general terms and conditions they have accepted.
