A veritable paradise for outdoor activities, Valais offers intoxicating forests, grandiose Alpine passes, spectacular trails and an enchanting setting that are particularly conducive to the pleasures of mountain biking. In addition, from 30 August to 14 September, 2025, the canton will play host to the prestigious UCI Mountain Bike World Championships 2025, during which athletes and spectators will gather in the host destinations of this major event. Crans-Montana (Cross-Country), Région Dents du Midi (Downhill), the Aletsch Arena (Enduro), Loèche-les-Bains (E-bike), Verbier and Val d'Anniviers (Marathon), Monthey (Pumptrack) and Zermatt (Short Track) will in turn become the mountain bike capitals of the world in each of these championships' seven disciplines.
