Snowtubing
Snowtubing offers a fun experience for young and old in the heart of the Snow Island area, a true family paradise on Crans-Montana’s snow-covered golf course, complete with the pleasure of an exceptional panorama from the snowtubing slope. Slide down the snow at full speed with family or friends, during the day or in the evening for guaranteed fun. Reservation possible for groups.
Skijöring
Enjoy being in contact with animals in beautiful Finhaut while experiencing the magic of two sports in one! Participants of all levels on skis or snowboards can traverse the historic Route des Diligences, passing in front of Bekker Chalet, at entirely their own pace and pulled along by an Icelandic horse. Starting at a walk, the horse will gradually pick up the pace with an Icelandic tölt, ending in style with a spectacular sprint and a bird's eye view over the Gorges!
Snowbiking
Biking in the snow? Totally – on a snowbike. This novel bike has two skis joined one behind the other rather than wheels. And for optimal stability you can strap two additional short skis to your feet. While it may look more challenging than it actually is, even after a short while you’ll be gliding down the ski runs thus comfortably seated.
Skijöring
Give ski joring a try for a unique sense of freedom and feeling of being at one with Nature, on offer Nax/Mont-Noble in the Val d’Hérens during the winter season. With skis on your feet, and a horse in front to pull you along, it’s something that everyone can enjoy, from small children to experienced horse riders. Available from December to April, subject to snow conditions.
Snowtubing
Snowtubing is the name of this unusual way of having fun in the snow in the child-friendly ski resort of Saas-Almagell and whizzing around on these rubber tyres is suitable for the whole family. The snowtubing run is situated in the middle of the ski area, where a lift carries you comfortably up to the start, before you descend at great speed to the finish line, where the ride comes to an end slowly and safely.
Snowkiting
Surrounded by magnificent high mountain scenery, the Simplon Pass above Brig is the perfect place for snow kiting. Let the wind help create your own personal ski lift as you attempt your first small jumps on skis or snowboard – attached to a kite. Suitable for all, but for their own safety, beginners should start with a course. The Snow and Kite School is on the Simplon Pass and can be reached easily by car.
