Panorama path Unterbäch-Eischoll

The village of Unterbäch is perfectly accessible by public transport. You can take the SBB train from Visp to Raron. From there, it is about a five-minute walk to the Raron-Unterbäch aerial cableway. Upon arrival in Unterbäch, walk about two minutes east until you reach the Unterbäch-Brandalp chairlift.

After completing the panorama path to Eischoll, return from Eischoll with the aerial cableway back to Raron.

You can easily reach Unterbäch by car. Either choose the route from Visp via Bürchen to Unterbäch or the route from Turtmann via Eischoll to Unterbäch.

Tip: The Visp-Bürchen-Unterbäch road is a bit curvier but wider. The Turtmann-Eischoll-Unterbäch road is less curvy but narrower. 

In Unterbäch, you can park the car in the parking garage at the eastern village entrance or directly in the village, below the mountain station of the Raron-Unterbäch aerial cableway. If you want to drive by car to Raron and then take the aerial cableway to Unterbäch, you can park at the lot marked LRU.

• Use only marked hiking trails and follow all signposts and instructions – for your own safety, to protect livestock, and to avoid disturbing wildlife.
• Be considerate towards other trail users and the landscape. Take your rubbish and that of others with you.
• Carry additional sun protection. UV rays at high altitudes can be especially strong in winter, even on cloudy days.
• Plan your hike carefully: consider the fitness levels of all participants, weather forecasts, and seasonality.
• Weather conditions in the mountains can change very quickly and without warning. Appropriate clothing and sufficient provisions (food and drink) are very important. In unstable weather, turn back early.
• Do not go onto glaciers without a mountain guide.
• Observe warning signs indicating dangers, especially avalanche risk.
• Inform third parties about your route and if possible, never go alone.
