The Sentier des Mayens is a route which allows you to recharge in contact with nature in a beautiful alpine setting, while offering easy access from the Anzère resort. This walk will allow you to enjoy an exceptional view of the Rhône plain and the surrounding peaks. Be attentive to clues that may lead you to encounter local wildlife.

Turn-by-turn directions

The path starts at the Anzère resort. You will walk along a flat section of the bisse de Sion in the heart of the forest, where the ghostly appearance created by snow playing with the fir branches and a few small frozen waterfalls will make you dream. After about twenty minutes, a short climb will lead you to the Mayens des Grillesses. From there, your gaze will be automatically drawn to the idyllic setting of the Rhône valley plunging into the mountains behind Crans-Montana. The return is made by the same path back to Anzère.

This route has no major difficulties.
