Description

This trail takes you up the slopes of the Pointe de Penne to the east of the village of Bourg-Saint-Pierre.

Mostly in the forest, it occasionally offers a nice view of the old village of Bourg-Saint-Pierre before entering the beginning of the Combe du Valsorey and descending back to the starting point.

Turn-by-turn directions

Start from the bell tower located in the center of Bourg-Saint-Pierre and cross the village to the east, then to the south, to pass under the international road of the Great Saint Bernard.

The loop is then marked in both directions. We describe here the route that goes north and makes four 180° turns in the forest.

Continue north to reach the top of the route, which then returns due south with a slight descent to join the entrance of the Combe du Valsorey. Then turn right 180° to descend back to the village.
