Description

With the Mischabel mountain range at your back, the trail starts at Kreuzboden, heading towards Hohsaas. The route is marked with purple poles. Just before the halfway point, the serviced Weissmieshütte invites you to take a break.

From there, the trail continues to the Hohsaas mountain station, nearly 3,200 meters above sea level. Once at the top, a spectacular panorama of the 18 four-thousand-meter peaks in the Saas-Fee/Saastal holiday region awaits.

The trail begins at Kreuzboden station, passing to the left of the anchor lift onto the blue ski slope. The markings run along the right side of the blue slope. Around the middle of the slope, the trail turns right and leads through a hollow up to the anchor lift. The path then follows the left side of the anchor lift up to the mountain station. From there, it ascends in switchbacks to the Weissmieshütte.

Afterwards, the trail crosses the first ski traverse and continues to the next traverse. Follow the path until just before merging with the ski slope, where the trail turns right again and ascends the hill. At the top, the trail follows the valley inward until it reaches the edge of the ski slope, where it runs parallel for several hundred meters before turning right again, climbing up the moraine to Point 3004.

From there, the trail follows the moraine ridge and then ascends through the slope below the old mountain station, heading toward the ski axis up to the high plateau. Finally, the path follows the lower part of the mountain railway axis until reaching the Hohsaas mountain station.

Turn-by-turn directions
