Grimentz/Zinal - Area Grimentz

The resort of Grimentz and Zinal lie in the Val d'Anniviers, and enjoys a superb position beneath the towering peaks of the Couronne Impériale, the highest of which is the Weisshorn. The Grimentz/Zinal cable car, in service since January 2014, whose 3km route is the third longest cable car route in Switzerland, takes just over 7 minutes to whisk you up from the village of Grimentz to the summit of the Corne de Sorebois, in Zinal. Its skiing area Grimentz/Zinal ranges in altitude from 1600m to 2900 metres, has 115km of pistes and, from its highest points, provides a superb panoramic view over the Val d’Anniviers and the Rhone valley. In winter, Grimentz/Zinal offers guaranteed snow cover, a freeride area, a snowpark, an avalanche training centre, and a children's ski run with enough games and obstacles to provide hours of fun.
