Put on your skis at the Tourbillon Nordic Center. The forest path, laid out for classic cross-country skiing and skating, takes you along the hillside to Lui Teise. Slightly undulating, the route offers lovely views of certain neighborhoods of Ovronnaz playing hide and seek among the trees. The few chalets of Lui Teise bask in the sun, one eye on the departure of the chairlift, the other on the Petit Muveran. Be careful, this part of the route is shared with pedestrians. The trail plunges into the forest, reaches the picnic areas of Plan Passé, and continues onward towards Chou. The village appears between the trunks, then the panorama opens up on the hamlet of Chou, tucked on the slopes of the Seya. The return is done by the same path.
Be aware, from Lui Teise, the route may be closed due to avalanche risks, so it is crucial to get information before taking this route.
Turn-by-turn directions
In classic and skating style
Starting from the Tourbillon Nordic center, the cross-country ski trail heads into the heart of the forest following the small Corniche forest road up to Lui Teise. This first part of the route is also open to pedestrians: be careful! It is possible to leave the route and reach the parking lots at the exit of the village of Ovronnaz in the direction of the chairlift. The second section of the track is reserved for cross-country skiers.
It continues towards Plan Passé, still on the forest road that leads to the pretty hamlet of Chou. The return is made by the same path.
