Description

Start out on the A Neuve plateau from the left bank of the Dranse, opposite the center of the resort of La Fouly and with a very little change in altitude making it an ideal place to begin cross-country skiing, or choose to head south along the Dranse towards Ferret, the last village in the valley, which in summer is the gateway to many mountain pastures. Back on the A Neuve plateau, continue north to reach one of the smallest and most beautiful hamlets in the Val Ferret: l'Amône and its splendid slab of the same name, renowned in the climbing world during the summer months.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the bus stop in the centre of the resort, continue 100 metres along the main road and take the road on the right that leads down to the Dranse. Put on your skis before the bridge, then walk to the start of the cross-country trail on the other side of the bridge. Then choose the loop north to Ferret or south to Amônaz, following the signs.
