A wonderful route on the legendary 18-hole Severiano Ballesteros golf course, where the famous Omega European Masters take place every year. The demanding and varied cross-country trail offers a spectacular view of the Valais Alps along its approximately six kilometers.

Description

This beautiful, sunny round starts at the Restaurant Miedzor, whose terrace offers a view over the golf course. The best golfers have played on this course, which is one of the oldest in Switzerland and considered one of the most beautiful in the world. Walkers also enjoy the snowy landscape here.

On your round over the golf course, you also pass the so-called Snow Island, a paradise for children with a beginner's ski slope, snow tubing, sledding slope, and Bibi's house, which entertains the little ones with many free activities and animations. Meanwhile, adults can enjoy the unique view of the highest peaks from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc on the beautiful terrace.

Along the part of Etang Long popular with ice skaters, you reach Sporting, another restaurant with a viewing terrace. From here, it is only a few meters back to the starting point.

Getting there
Information

Public transport

You can reach Crans-Montana by funicular, post bus or bus connections from Sierre to Crans-Montana. You can reach the funicular from Sierre station by following the red marking on the ground.

Approach

Take the A9 motorway exit Sierre-Ouest in Sierre, follow the cantonal road to the center of Crans. From Crans take the gondola to Cry d’Er.

Parking

Parking Sporting near the starting point of the hike. Follow the local parking guidance system.
