Champex trail

Champex-Lac

This 8 km trail will let you discover various corners of the Champex resort starting in the marshes by the lake.

Difficulty

Difficult

Length

7.54 km

Duration

2:00 h

Description

From the center of the resort, start with a nice loop in the marshes, an easy trail without any elevation gain. The trail continues through a beautiful forest before reaching Champex d’en Haut.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the parking lot, join the trail along the lake. Head to your right to do a nice loop through the marshes. Then return to the lakeside, which you follow westwards passing in front of a small chapel, and continue into the forest up to the "scouts' place." From this point, return via the upper road to then cross the Revers ski slope and climb back up to the start of the chairlift.

Pass under the chairlift and descend the slope to reach the main parking lot. Then follow the road, then leave it by taking, northwest, the long descent that will lead you to Champex d'en Haut through the forest. The return is first across the meadows of Champex d'en Haut before rejoining the same route as on the descent.

At the entrance to the large chairlift parking lot, take the trail to the east then pass again under the chairlift to reach the marsh trail and your starting point.
