Tobogganing run Kreuzboden - Saas-Grund

The sledge run from Kreuzboden down to Saas-Grund leads through small villages and past Alpine huts and makes for roughly half an hour of safe, snowy fun for the whole family. The longest sledge run in Saastal offers an amazing view across the mountain landscape of the Mischabel Massif. Measuring 11 kilometres in length and covering an altitude difference of almost 1,000 metres, the sledge run from Kreuzboden down to Saas-Grund promises virtually endless amusement. What’s more, the longest sledge run in Saastal is also full of variations and surprises and offers an amazing view across the mountain landscape of the Mischabel Massif. The first adrenaline rush comes right after the sledge leaves the starting point at 2,400 m.a.s.l., as the sledge run follows the ski piste for its first few meters. The route then branches off from the ski area into a sparsely wooded forest, where it passes the Trift cable car middle station. This can be used as the starting point for your sledging adventures, or as a means of heading back up to Kreuzboden, where the fun can begin all over again. If you choose to carry on down to Saas-Grund, though, you’ll be greeted with an idyllic run with plenty of twists and turns. This leads through small villages and past Alpine huts, before passing through a larch forest and finishing down in the valley station. The landscape opens out at regular intervals during the trip down, offering spectacular westward views of the Saas-Fee mountain landscape and of the Mattmark region towards the south.
