The highest natural glacier palace in the world

Two ice-sculpted cows facing each other inside the Glacier Palace in Zermatt

Delve into a fascinating world of ice: mystical formations, glittering structures and impressive photo opportunities await you in the highest glacier palace in the world. Two passenger lifts take you directly from the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise station to the entrance of the palace. From there, an ice tunnel leads around fifteen metres below the surface of the glacier. For the more adventurous, the return journey takes you through a real crevasse. Atmospheric lighting and spherical sounds accompany guests through this unique natural experience. Information about the formation of the glacier and glaciology, as well as artistic ice sculptures, add variety to the visit. The sculptures are regularly renewed, so there is always something new to discover. A special highlight for our younger guests: a slide amidst the ice.
