Description

This route is a lighter version of the Gentiane Bike. With a more direct descent, fewer climbs and fewer kilometres, this tour is for anyone who wants to enjoy mountain biking without too much effort. It's a gentle way to discover the alpine pastures of Anzère and a section of the Bisse de Sion.

Turn-by-turn directions

For the Gentiane Bike ‘light’ route, you first take the cable car to the intermediate station. From there, you ride towards the Tsalan mountain pasture and then the Duez mountain pasture before starting a long descent to Les Grillesses. Return to the resort via the Route des Luys.

Public transport

Postbus from Sion towards Anzère, then take the gondola up to the intermediate station.

Approach

Take exit 27 Sion-Est, then head towards Ayent/Anzère as far as the gondola car park, then take the gondola up to the intermediate station.

We recommend: bike in excellent working order, helmet, gloves and bell, clothing suitable for the weather (always carry a waterproof), food and drink.
