Description

The region's mountain pastures are are easy to access with just a few pedal strokes leading to Anzère’s famous panorama : a beautiful ascent, an equally magnificent descent and lots of fun in store!

The Arnica Bike route starts at the gondola square. It then crosses the mayens des Grillesses via the forest road. From here, follow the famous “Tour des Alpages route”, in the opposite direction.

Turn-by-turn directions

The first stage runs along the bisse de Sion to Les Rousses, via the descent to Pra Combère. Then climb to the heights of Anzère via the Serin, Duez, Tsalan d'Arbaz and Tsalan d'Ayent mountain pastures. The final descent takes you through the Brune and back to the centre of Anzère village.

Throughout the route, be on the lookout for mountain bikers or hikers who may be travelling against the flow of traffic.

Take the PostBus to Anzère from Sion station.

Approach

Motorway exit 27 Sion-Est, then continue towards Anzère/Ayent.

Several parking areas are available in Anzère village.

We recommend: bike in excellent working order, helmet, gloves and bell, clothing suitable for the weather (always carry a waterproof), food and drink.
