Vallon d'Arbi

The start of this magnificent technical and wild route, designed for expert mountain bikers, can be reached from Les Attelas and Lac des Vaux (recommended when the Fontanet lift is open) or from La Planie and Col des Mines. From Fontanet, it's a short but steep climb up the ski slopes to Les Attelas. The path starts on the Attelas ridge and heads towards the Col de Croblet. This section contains some exposed areas, so you'll need to have good control of your mountain bike and not be afraid of heights. From the col, descend to the right towards Lac des Vaux. Then take the path under the lake towards the Col des Mines, then the path on the left bank of the Vallon d'Arbi towards La Tzoumaz. This narrow, stony valley is a real treat for mountain bikers. From the bottom of the valley, you can finally reach La Tzoumaz by road. This route has not been approved by the canton of Valais in accordance with the law on leisure mobility routes.
