Description
The large cable car comfortably takes you from Leukerbad to Rinderhütte. From here you start on the single trail high path with magnificent views over the Rhone Valley and the Valais four-thousanders. The trail quickly follows the subalpine terrain hills below the Schafberg. Occasionally, there are short climbs to tackle.
From the Bachalp onwards, you follow beautiful, bright coniferous forests and the viewpoint changes increasingly with views of Mont Blanc and down into the Rhone plain. On naturally playful and varied trails, you pass alpine pastures and idyllic mountain villages.
The satellite ground station from the 1970s has already caused some amusing rumors in connection with US-American espionage. At the end, you can immerse yourself once more in the cultural-historical past of the district capital Leuk. The historic Leuk castle with the dome added by Mario Botta is worth a visit.

Turn-by-turn directions
The Torrent cable cars take your mountain bike from Leukerbad to the top station Rinderhütte, where the route begins. Via a single trail with a magnificent view over the Rhone Valley and the Valais four-thousanders, you reach Oberu and Bachalp. From here, you ride alternately on short ascents and descents, often along the tree line, to the "Undri Fäsilalpu." The route continues over a newly renovated and playful single trail to Brentschen. Then it leads via Brentschen on dream trails and through coniferous forests to Feschel. Soon you reach an idyllic lake with a rest area near Guttet. The penultimate stage passes the satellite ground station west of Thel. On a beautiful single trail next to the main road, you enter Leuk. To finish, we recommend a last stop at one of the restaurants in Leuk's old town. From there, you leisurely roll on the Veloland Route No. 72 "Chemin du Vignoble" to Susten at the station.

Arrival is by train (SBB) to Leuk. Then the bus (LLB) goes directly from Leuk station to Leukerbad, Albinen, Inden, or Varen.
