Europe's largest mountain biking playground is yours for the taking with this loop from Champéry! Armed with your mountain bike pass, climb the peaks and ride the bike parks of Les Crosets, Avoriaz and Châtel to experience or relive the thrills the must-have Pass'Portes du Soleil MTB!

Itinerary using the mountain lifts (Portes du Soleil MTB pass required).

This loop leads through downhill mountain bike trails. Don't set off on the trails unless you're properly equipped and prepared.

If you take an electric mountain bike on this route, free charging stations are available at some alpine restaurants and refreshment stands.

Getting there
Information

Public transport

From Monthey, take the AOMC train line (Aigle - Ollon - Monthey - Champéry) and get off at the terminus, at the Champéry station/cable car.

Approach

Take exit 18 « Saint-Triphon » off the A9 freeway towards Monthey and follow the brown « Portes du Soleil » signs. After passing through the Collombey tunnel, continue on Road 21 towards Champéry.        

Parking

The cable car parking lot is free in the summer.

Equipment

We recommend: bike in excellent working order, helmet, gloves and bell, clothing suitable for the weather (always carry a waterproof), food and drink. Preparing for mountain bike outings
