From the Rosswald mountain station, the trail runs along the sunny ridge with a magnificent view of the Rhone valley down to the valley station of the gondola. You descend steadily 800 meters in altitude.

Description

You can conveniently reach Rosswald with the gondola from Ried-Brig. The bike trail starts directly at the mountain station. Ride right on the gravel road downhill. After 200 meters, turn right and follow the trail until you reach the paved road at Resti, which you cross and continue following the trail.

Via the trails, you return to the valley station of the Rosswald cable cars, which takes you back up the mountain for a second round.

The varied trail together with the Gantertal Trail offers a great biking day at Rosswald.

Turn-by-turn directions

At the mountain station of the Rosswald cable cars, you get on your bike and head directly west. After 200 meters, turn right onto the trail. Follow this trail, crossing the Restistrasse and zigzagging down the Rosswald ridge to the Wiler Stückiegga. Here, you reach the forest road, which you follow to Schallberg. The trail then takes you onto the road running parallel to the Simplon Pass road. Follow this road until the junction to the old Napoleon road. A few meters after the wayside shrine, the trail branches right. Follow the trail until you can see the valley station.
