La Chaux - Lourtier

This route is number 11 in the biker's guide. The ultimate enduro experience in the Val de Bagnes, reserved for very experienced riders. This is a very steep, very technical and very long route, all in a breathtaking setting! From La Chaux, a technically and physically demanding traverse will take you up to the Mintset mountain pasture. Enjoy the majestic view of the Combins before getting down to the heart of the matter. Once you're at the bottom of the mountain pasture, the entrance gate into the forest marks the start of the serious stuff and the entrance to the ‘no fall zone’. The path zigzags along a magnificent forest ridge where the exposure is sometimes difficult to see, but ever present. A thousand metres below, the long straight stretch along the river embankment represents the last effort before arriving at the village of Lourtier. This route has not been approved by the canton of Valais in accordance with the law on leisure mobility routes.
