The starting point for the route is Gampel. From there, thanks to a comfortable ride with the cable car, you reach the village of Jeizinen, located 900 meters higher, in 10 minutes. Now a demanding ascent of just under 800 meters in altitude needs to be mastered. On a paved, pleasantly ascending road, you reach Untere Feselalp where the friendly alpine inn "Trächu Hittu" invites you to a first refreshment. Continuing upwards via Obere Feselalp leads to the highest point of the tour, the majestic "Heruhubel". Now begins the second part of the route at the foot of the "Einig Alichji": a varied descent into the Rhone Valley. The route starts comfortably and with little steepness and then becomes more demanding with a mix of flowing and technical singletrails. Via the two Meiggu Alps, it goes through rustic mountain villages down to Niedergampel. Not only the versatile trails are a treat but also the view into the Lötschental and to the mighty four-thousanders of the Alps.
Our favorites

Turn-by-turn directions
The route starts with a ride on the aerial cableway from Gampel to Jeizinen. This is followed by an ascent of just under 800 meters in altitude. It mostly leads over paved alpine roads via Untere and Obere Feselalp and finally over a singletrail to the "Heruhubel". Shortly after this lookout point, the highest point at 2311 meters is reached. From here, it flows down a singletrail to the Alp Oberi Meiggu. This is followed by a somewhat steep and technically demanding section before you can rest on the forest road to Alp Underi Meiggu. From here, it continues in typical Valais flow style towards "Arblöuwinu". Up to Jeizinen, the path follows the contour line. The last part from Erschmatt down to Niedergampel includes stone and rock passages as well as beautiful switchbacks. From the Loibini district, the riding fun continues with fluid and winding sections down to Niedergampel. From there, it goes along the main road to Gampel.
