Description

From Stalden, the cable car takes you to Gspon in just a few minutes. From the mountain station, there is a beautiful section of trail with a gentle ascent through the forest to ‘Scheidbodo’. From ‘Scheidbodo’, you have a short ascent of around 150 metres. Continue along a wide path, which is quite steep in places, to ‘Sänntum’. There are various fountains where you can refill your water bottle. The absolute highlight is the ‘Höuschbiela’, a high plateau with a truly impressive panoramic view of the majestic Valais Alps.Next comes a beautiful, easy descent through wooded areas and beautiful, open alpine meadows to the hamlet of ‘Finilu’. Here you need to take care and reduce your speed on a short, steep section of about 150 metres. You then return to Gspon via the Gsponer Höhenweg. As always, take care here as the path is also used by hikers. In Gspon, you can savour the culinary delights on offer at the Alpenblick mountain restaurant and round off the day.
