Grächen

The Grächen loop is an all-mountain route for families. It combines easy single trails with sections on wider paths and gravel roads.

Difficulty

Easy

Length

10.42 km

Duration

1:32 h

Description

The loop for the whole family starts in the village center and first passes the valley station Hannigalp. After a short climb on a gravel road, the first descent awaits. Flowing, it goes down to the idyllic mountain lake Z'Seew, inviting you to linger and providing a welcome cooling on hot summer days. Refreshed, it then goes up to the Äbnet junction and then on a wide trail to the restaurants Bärgji-Alp and Jägerstube, which welcome bikers with a cozy atmosphere for a refreshment. Opposite, the three-thousanders line up one after another. Among them, the Barrhorn stands out as the highest snow-free hiking peak in Europe. After the valley station Grächen Bärgji, a pleasant trail leads back to the starting point in Grächen. From Titter, the varied and flowing enduro trail down to Kalpetran is also offered. The route can also be connected with the trail Zermatt–Visp (No. 150).
