Turn-by-turn directions
The family loop starts in the village center of Grächen, past the valley station Hannigalp and further on the field road to point “1675”. From here, the still slightly ascending route continues on the gravel road until the first descent begins. The descent ends at the idyllic mountain lake “Z’Seew”. The small lake invites you to linger and especially on hot summer days it is a paddling pool for big and small. The loop then ascends to the junction “Äbnet” and from there on a wide trail to the restaurants “Bärgji-Alp” and “Jägerstube”. Both restaurants have a cozy atmosphere and fine dishes. On the opposite side of the valley, a whole series of 3000-meter peaks present themselves, with the Barrhorn standing out as the highest snow-free hiking peak in Europe. Shortly after the valley station “Grächen Bärgji” it goes on a trail back to the starting point at Grächen village. At “Titter” there is the opportunity to ride down on a varied and flowing enduro trail to Kalpetran. Connection to the Zermatt-Visp trail (No. 150) is available.
