Difficulty

Length

Duration

Description

Explore the eastern side valley of Leukerbad, where the mountain stream Dala originates. The route initially leads through pleasantly cool forest. After passing the Majing valley, you traverse mountain pastures and reach the Majingalp and shortly after the Flüealp. Finally, you return on the same path back to Leukerbad.

Turn-by-turn directions

On an initially paved road, you turn into the forest at the Lärchenwald house and ride towards the Weidstübli restaurant. Soon the terrain changes to gravel and after a good 500 meters of altitude with a steady climb through a light forest area, you reach the Majingalp via Alpe Folljeret. If you want, you can already refresh yourself here at the mountain restaurant, or you continue the last 2 km uphill to the Flüealp, where you definitely should not miss cheese and bread. The signposted descent leads back to Leukerbad on the same path.
