Description

Open to all, this easy loop offers a forest ride starting and ending at Lake Moubra. After passing the football field, the route winds through the forest and past the former pulmonary centre before linking up with the Family Forest Loop. This section includes optional features to practise skills such as jumps, bridges, steps, banked turns and balance elements, all of which can be bypassed. It’s a perfect option for families and newcomers wanting to learn the basics of MTB in a peaceful natural setting.

The environment is predominantly woodland, without any significant technical difficulty, with some variations in terrain to enhance the experience.. The route leads gently back to Lake Moubra, a great place to relax or enjoy a picnic.

Our favorites

Our favorite itineraries are part of a selection of the best routes in the region and are proposed by Valais/Wallis Promotion to best meet the expectations of our guests.

Turn-by-turn directions

The start is located on the shores of Lake Moubra, a veritable oasis for leisure activities. After a pedalling a short distance, the route runs alongside the football pitch, then passes under the starting arch of the Crans-Montana – Sierre flow trail. There are no challenging descents here however: the route gently branches off towards the undergrowth. In the forest, the gently sloping ground is soft with few roots. The trail winds its way southwards, passing the former Valais Pulmonary Centre building, before continuing on the Family Forest Loop, a fun loop designed for learning while having a great time. Jumps, footbridges, steps, banked turns and other small obstacles stud the route, all of which can be bypassed depending on individual desire or level. A few variations in terrain add excitement to the end of the route, although it never becomes technical or exposed before the gentle return to Lake Moubra.
