The circular route from Binn is ideal for active families, adults, and outdoor enthusiasts.
The technically simple but physically demanding route runs on wide forest roads and leads from Binn via Gand to the idyllic Masshitta Alp – a quiet, scenic spot with an impressive view of the Binntal.
Along the way, there are repeatedly panoramic views of the striking landscape of the regional nature park. The route can also be well complemented by the cultural offerings of the nature park.
The loop is ideal for classic mountain bikes but also well rideable with gravel bikes. Those who prefer a more relaxed ride can use an e-bike – as even with electric assistance, the nature experience is impressive.
Turn-by-turn directions
The route starts in the center of Binn. Follow the road into the Binntal. At Imfeld, you must turn left and cross the Binna river. Afterwards, the route leads on a forest road with a moderate incline through the open forest up to Gand.
Passing the hamlet, continue to the Masshitta Alp, where a break with a view is recommended. The return route goes via Freichi, Brunnebiel, and Imfeld. From there, the route leads back on the main road to the village center of Binn.
