Description

The thermal spring route is an impressive steel construction that leads about 600 meters through the Dalaschlucht. Some thermal springs emerge very close to the stream bed. With a small pulley, you can even crank the warm thermal water directly from a spring. A suspension bridge then leads to the roaring natural spectacle. At the waterfall plunging 35 meters deep, you feel the power of the water up close. A true refreshment in summer.

At the end of the route, there are three options to continue the hike: to the waterfall viewpoint, to Majingsee and the Weidstuebli restaurant, or to the Buljes restaurant (see detailed trail description).

Turn-by-turn directions

From the village square, follow the signposted path (approx. 1 km) to the Heilbadbruecke. The thermal spring route begins here and leads several meters above the stream bed into the wild Dalaschlucht. Watch out for a small pulley with which you can crank natural thermal water directly from the gorge. A 21-meter-long suspension bridge finally takes you to the other side and to a roaring waterfall. Two iron staircases wind up the rocks and lead out of the Dalaschlucht.

At the end of the thermal spring route, there are several options to continue the hike: to the right over the wooden bridge is a path to the "Waterfall" viewpoint, from where the best photos of the gorge and the impressive route can be taken. Straight ahead you continue up to Majingsee (fireplace) and the Weidstuebli restaurant. To the left, the hiking trail leads downhill to the Buljes restaurant and to the thermal spring path. All three hiking trails lead back to the village within 30 – 90 minutes.

The Thermalquellen-Zunft is grateful for a voluntary donation (cash or Twint on site). The route was built and financed by the guild. The annual maintenance costs can be covered with your support. Thank you very much for your visit.
