Description

The hike starts at the mountain station «Hannig». From there, you hike along the mountain slopes and discover a spectacular glacier landscape that has been attracting guests from around the world to Saas-Fee for more than 150 years. The first half of the route ends at the former moraine of the Fee Glacier. Due to the glacier's retreat, a unique moraine landscape with a network of small streams has formed, which feed the glacier lake. The hiking trail follows the ridge of the moraine downwards before turning right above the lake and ascending to the restaurant «Glacier Grotto».

After resting at the mountain restaurant, you cross the ski slope and thus quickly reach the start of the «Bodmen» water channel by the barbecue hut in «Bifig». The irrigation channel leads you past the village to Grundbiel. Here you then follow the paved road to the panoramic bridge and finally reach the bus terminal in Saas-Fee.
