This hike starts in the small village of Ernen. The path initially passes through the forest, gradually leading you to Niederärner Chäller on a beautiful shaded track, before crossing through the wild valley of Rappental along the Milibach stream. The route then runs along the edge of the forest up until Lärch, which marks the highest point of the hike. Continue your outing along a small path bordered by magnificent alpine flowers until you reach the breathtaking vantage point of Chäserstatt and its cozy mountain hotel. After a relatively steep descent, you will reach the pretty village of Mühlebach and the famous Goms suspension bridge, before arriving at Fürgangen train station.
Turn-by-turn directions
The route starts in the small village of Ernen. Walk along the forest road that climbs towards Niederärner Chäller. Next, continue your hike towards Rappental, then turn left and walk along the edge of the forest until you reach Lärch. After a pleasant descent towards Chäserstatt, and then towards Mühlebach, you will reach the suspension bridge « Goms Bridge » before finally arriving at Fürgangen train station.

Information
Public transport
First, take a train to Brig, and then another train to Fiesch. From here, hop on a PostBus to the village of Ernen
Approach
You can reach Ernen by taking the main road between Brig and Fiesch towards Oberwald. Turn right onto Furkastrasse after the village of Lax and climb towards Niederernen, then continue on to Ernen.
