Region Visp & Moosalp

A town offering both recreational and shopping pleasures, Visp’s distinguishing feature is its La Poste cultural centre and picturesque old town with its Mediterranean atmosphere. Since the opening of the Lötschberg base tunnel, located at the starting point, this little village at the start has been perfectly developed for excursions throughout the region. Visperterminen, Unterbäch and the Moosalp region with its idyllic mountain villages of Bürchen, Törbel, Zeneggen and Embd are among the most beautiful hiking and biking paradises in the Upper Valais. The breathtaking view over the Rhône Valley warrants an excursion in its own right. Each year, Moosalp attracts crowds of visitors to its traditional Alpine festival. With its well-groomed trails, the entire mountain plateau is also a benchmark for both snow shoeing and skiing.
