The highlights of the Almagell Adventure Trail are without doubt the two suspension footbridges, which float high above the ground. One is 60 metres long and 9 metres high; the other, 45 metres long and 12 metres high. As you cross them on the trail around the Almagellerhorn, they send a tingle down your spine. But you won’t regret it: the panoramic views of the mountains of the Saas valley and the dramatic views into the depths of the gorges are ample reward. A sure foot and a good head for heights are nonetheless a requirement for this trail, which takes about an hour and a half. It is suitable for children from the age of six or seven, providing they are accompanied by adults, but unsuitable for dogs.
