The church of Orsières with its bell-tower from the eleventh century is the town’s major landmark. Orsières enjoys a mild and relatively dry climate, being protected by the imposing mass of the surrounding mountains. On its slopes grow innumerable medicinal and aromatic plants, used in the manufacture of beauty and healthcare products.
