Gspon can be reached by cable car from Stalden in just a few minutes. A beautiful trail leads from the mountain station to the Gibidum pass via Sädolwald forest nature reserve. From the high-altitude plateau bikers enjoy an impressive view of the Bernese and Valais Alps. The nearby lake Gibidumsee is the perfect place for a break in this exceptional mountain landscape. A steep but flowing allmountain trail leads from the Gibidum pass into the wild Nanztal Valley. In the valley, the trail passes the beautiful Nidristi Alp on its way to Schratt, where you can fill up your water bottle at a wooden fountain. The tour continues towards Brig-Glis on a first-class trail that makes for fast and smooth riding after its more technically challenging first section. Brig-Glis offers plenty of options for rounding out the day’s biking with a well-earned meal. The excellent public transport connections mean the town can also be used as a starting point for further bike tours.
