Walser Tour

Goms is considered the cradle of Walser migration – where an industrious folk arrived around the 13th century, having crossed the Albrun Pass and over the Griespass in Pomatt (Val Formazza). Despite the Walser story being reason enough to do the tour, additional highlights line the path. Extensive stretches lead through the beautiful landscapes of the Binntal Park, classified as natural park of cantonal and national importance in 2008, characterised by its unique minerals and diverse flora and fauna – Val Formazza with its abundance of mountain lakes and waterfalls, the most famous of which the Toce Waterfall in Sotto Frua with a drop of 143 metres.
