Geschinen, an idyllic village in Goms, invites you to discover its rich history and diverse natural environment. Geschinersee was created in 2004 as a reservoir and is now a popular place for excursions, bird watching and recreation. The cultural trail combines nature with history, passing the St. Sebastian chapel and the picturesque Wilerkapelle chapel. A special legend is told of Weger Baschi, a brave and strong muleteer who is said to have carried completely exhausted mules and their loads over the Goms passes. In winter, Geschinen is transformed into a paradise for cross-country skiers and winter hikers – always accompanied by the magic of the snow-covered Goms landscape.
