The adventure begins when you enter the Gabi gravel pit. Over the three-rope footbridge you reach the main rock, which first leads over the road tunnel and then horizontally in a natural gallery to the first emergency exit over the forest. This is where the vertical ascent of over 180 metres begins. The entire via ferrata "Gabi Simplon" is 750 m long and has a height of 250 metres. From the start back to Gabi it takes about 2.5 hours. Via ferrata sets can be hired at the Arnold bakery in Simplon village for CHF 25 per day. Climbing the via ferrata is free of charge; a voluntary collection is welcome.
