No route is too far on snowshoes. They gently carry hikers over a deep blanket of snow. Snowshoeing requires virtually no experience. Anyone who can walk can also snowshoe, thus experiencing the delightful world of pristine winterscapes. Beautiful trails lead through forests, over wide snowfields and along impressive 4000-metre peaks. Once you’ve tried snowshoeing, you’ll always want to come back and leave your tracks in the snow.
Snowshoe excursion to the Zinal Glacier
A guided snowshoe adventure to the ice caves in the Zinal Glacier. On Tuesdays and Thursdays between November and March, this daytrip to the Zinal ice caves is led by our guide Stéphane Albasini. Tours are available on other days upon request. Tours begin at 9.30 am in front of the Zinal tourist office and return to the village around 4.00 pm. Be sure to pack a picnic lunch. Snowshoe rentals are available at the two sport shops in Zinal.
