Ice Skating

A welcome change to skiing and snowboarding - and perfect bad weather option for the whole family as they enjoy an afternoon on the ice rink. Some may opt for excitement with a game of chase or ice hockey, while others enjoy gliding round the rink at a more leisurely pace. However, the ice rinks are open to all, whether novices or pros, and you can choose your own tempo and preferred sport. In some places you can even have a go at curling or dance to the sounds of lively music in an ice-disco as you glide over the ice. Ice skates are conveniently available for rent in all sizes and places.

Located in the centre of the village below the Hotel Europa, the Zinal ice rink is opened 7 days a week depending on weather conditions. Teh access is free an the rink is lit until 9 pm. Ice-discos are regularly organized by the local ski-club, and you can test playing “curlcharlette” individually or in team (= mixture between “curling” and “charlette”, which means milking chair).
