Alpage d'Eison
The path that leads to the Becs de Bosson mountain hut from Combioula is lined with an abundance of fragrant wormwood plants, which form the basis of several well-known Valais specialities. It is in this bucolic setting that the famous Hérens cattle spend the summer months on the Eison alpine pasture, where there is also a sales point allowing you to buy the delicious regional products that are made there. To leave the daily grind well and truly behind you, visit the cheese dairy and spend the night in a “chotte”, a little rustic hut traditionally found on alpine pastures.
