Certified Valais brand wines

Although wine has been cultivated in Valais since the Iron Age, the expertise of its winemakers has always evolved to meet the standards of quality their consumers expect. As part of this pursuit of quality, the Valais brand guarantees an ambitious and forward-thinking approach based on organic winemaking and production methods that respect both people and their heritage. It also ensures that the entire “vine-to-bottle” process takes place in Valais.

A collective approach to sustainable winemaking

The approach is designed for the long term and is based on thirteen measures focusing on the areas of winemaking, social engagement, oenology, heritage and communication.

13 measures

For the first three years, vines must be cultivated using organic production methods, while the following ten years are devoted to increasing biodiversity and optimising water use.

Strict specifications

Wines must be systematically tested based on strict specifications in order to carry the Valais brand logo.

The winemakers’ commitment

Certified winemakers commit to enhancing both their plants and the soil through the cultivation of organic land parcels, striving for a fair and respectful use of the land.
