Valais rye bread AOP, made with rye flour (minimum 90%), is an essential feature of the “Assiette Valaisanne”. With its round shape, distinctive brown crust, cracked appearance, soft texture and characteristic aroma, Valais rye bread is unmistakable. Its slightly sharp flavour perfectly suits Valais dried meat IGP, for example. Serve sliced, plain or buttered, with spreads, at breakfast, tea-time or with an aperitif: Valais rye bread is delicious at any time of day.
