Valais Brand Products
Grains certified with the Valais brand originate from traditional seeds hailing from the Valais region or suited to this territory. A new company called Céréal’hier has been created with the objective of reviving traditional grains such as spelt, emmer wheat, einkorn wheat, and traditional wheat and rye varieties. Equipped with ancestral knowledge, the producers are able to adapt their crops to the needs of the different varieties. The flours are ground using an Astrié stone mill, which conserves minerals, vitamins and fibres. These traditional, local grains are also used to create different types of bread and pasta.
