Day 1

Friday

Skiing, snowball fights, hot chocolate by the fire, building a snowman... Winter in Valais awaits you! The entire family is beyond excited to see the mountains completely covered with a white mantle and to get out their traditional winter gear: sleds, skates, skis, hats and gloves. In Valais, Bellwald, Blatten-Belalp, Crans-Montana, Grächen-St. Niklaus, Nendaz, Aletsch, Saas-Fee and Zermatt are ideal destinations for your winter holiday, because here, children reign supreme. Every effort is made to ensure an out-of-this-world stay during which most of their wishes are fulfilled. Enjoy the fresh mountain air in a cosy chalet or a fully equipped vacation apartment in the heart of nature or in the centre of the resort.

Day 2

Saturday

Discover the car-free village of Zermatt, a true paradise for families, which has been awarded the "Family Destination" label by the Swiss Tourism Federation. Why not start your day by visiting the world's highest ice palace at the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise resort? Then hop aboard the Gornergrat Bahn to admire the region's majestic 4,000-metre peaks along with the panorama of Alps and glaciers. From Rotenboden, take a winter hike from Rotenboden to Riffelberg, a gentle downhill walk lasting about an hour and particularly suitable for children. Or maybe you'd prefer to take on the Rotenboden-Riffelberg toboggan run, the highest in Switzerland? After all this excitement, don't forget to relax at the family-friendly Brigerbad thermal baths with their thermal play areas.

Day 3

Sunday

Today, head to Martigny for a train trip aboard the Mont-Blanc Express to Les Marécottes. There, at an altitude of 1,100 metres, visit the alpine zoo where many species of animals found in the Alps live, such as deer, lynx, big horn sheep, raccoons, wild boars, and wolves. And if your children ask for more, make a stop on your way back to Martigny to admire the museum and especially the Saint-Bernard dogs, a space dedicated to this true emblem of the Valais.
